What is Landmark?
Landmark is an MMO from Sony Online Entertainment Daybreak that is currently in Closed Beta. It began life as the tool with which EverquestNext was being built. But that tool was so cool and fun to use, they thought, "Hey, this should be its own game!" And so it was.
Eventually, Landmark will give players the tools to build their own games within the game. Today, it's mostly a exploring/mining/building game, with extremely sophisticated tools. Copy, paste, template, rotate, and just generally photoshop the world around you (at least, the part of the world you've claimed as yours!) Already, absolutely stunning builds have been created by players:

What's up with Closed Beta?
Closed Beta is currently mostly available to people who are supporting development by buying Founder's Packs, or by getting lucky and getting a code. It's available on Steam now, and has been on sale before. When the game goes into Open Beta, it will likely be Free to Play.
Closed Beta, which started back in March 2014, is a very early testing phase. The devs have been highly engaged with the community, and the community has already helped to shape the game, coming up with ways of using the building tools that the devs themselves didn't know were possible. Getting a Founder's pack isn't so much about "buying the game" as it is about supporting the development of the game and getting to be part of the process.

When does Open Beta start?
That hasn't been announced yet, but Closed Beta has been going on for over a year now. I think we'll see it soon.
Is there a PA guild?
For Closed Beta, we made a guild called Arcadian Architects. Post here with your character name for an invite or ask Sage in-game. I'll add names of others who can do invites later as we accumulate them-- we had to reform after the wipe so everyone needs to join again.
What Server Should I Roll On?
It doesn't matter! You can move freely between servers and continents. You don't even *have* a home server, other that where your claim is located, but you could easily have 2 claims on 2 different servers.

The Big Wipe Update
The Big Wipe Update happened in the first week of May 2015. It involved a character wipe and an enormous patch. Here's the stuff that was in it:
